Highway 5
7:00 PM - Dinner
Dundas, Ontario
8:00 PM - Presentation
Note : The Plainsman Restaurant on Hwy5, 2 miles West of Highway 6 in Dundas, Ontario has been arranged as the permanent dinner meeting location of the Sec 0400 for the 2002 / 2003 session. There is no charge for the presentation. Charge for the dinner is $25.00, with a cash bar.
The March membership meeting will present Judi Mansfield-Jones. Judi will be speaking on the implementation of the new ISO 9001:2000 standards.
ISO 9000 is the universally recognized Quality Management Standard. Being certified has allowed companies to expand into new markets and become preferred suppliers. The new standard replaces the older, document driven standard with a clear focus on business process and increased customer satisfaction. Companies paying lip service to the standard will be in for a rude awakening. Senior Management involvement and continual improvement are strategic aspects of the new system.
Judi Mansfield-Jones, CQA, CQM is Principal of nanoQuest inc., a consulting and training firm working with organizations to realize their quality and business goals through the design of quality management systems. With over twenty-five years of experience initiating, developing, and implementing community and business projects resulting in beneficial and innovative solutions, Judi provides results oriented training and consulting. She is active in the ASQ Hamilton Section, as Membership Chair and Chair Elect.
Judi’s training development background was established at Mohawk College, as a member of a self-managed consulting team. Responsible for developing and defining strategic initiatives, she ensured successful outcomes through the effective implementation of technical shop floor and supervisory skills development, survey development, continuous improvement teams and ISO 9000 implementation activities, including process/ procedures development and internal quality audits.
Re-focus, simplify, clarify and prosper - that’s the basis of the new system. Come and hear how to implement the new ISO 9001:2000 standards or develop a transition plan to upgrade your current certification.
Please notify one of the following executive members of your attendance by 12:00 PM on Friday, Mar 7, 2003. Bob Anderson (905) 575-2375 ext 3092 OR Hank Verspagen ext 3091
