Note : The Plainsman Restaurant on Hwy5, 2 miles West of Highway 6 in Dundas, Ontario has been arranged as the permanent dinner meeting location of the Sec 0400 for the 1999 / 2000 session. Charge for the dinner and the presentation is currently $20.00, with a cash bar.

The March membership meeting will present Dan Corbett - President & CEO of National Quality Institute. Dan's topic will be : A Strategic Approach to Quality for the 21st century.

Appointed as President of the National Quality Institute, September 1, 1999 Dan is just starting his role as advocate of organizational excellence across Canada. Prior to joining NQI, Dan Corbett was President and CEO of St Lawrence College. His introduction of Total Quality Management and the registration of the college's quality system to the ISO 9001 standard allowed St Lawrence to optimize the deployment of scarce resources while improving performance.

In his career, Dan has followed the quality journey in both the private and public sectors. Dan believes in the next great leap in quality has to be a strategic approach to how the organization is managed and that quality starts with Leadership. The quality ethic is visible in the strategic plan, in the operational plan, in organizational values and behaviour. Dan is going to share his experiences and ideas with us.
